Charming bed and breakfasts in the Vendée
Welcome to your haven of peace in Aizenay! All year round, you can stay here with family, as a couple, or alone, for a tourist or business trip. Originally a medieval castle, burned down during the Vendée Wars, this magnificent building was rebuilt at the end of the 19th century. You can still see the original castle moat. For 15 years, François-Xavier and Marie-Hélène have welcomed guests to this historic home, which they renovated and where they live year-round. In their peaceful guesthouse, your hosts offer a warm and authentic atmosphere. You'll appreciate, for example, the oak parquet floors and fireplaces. The French art of living can be found at the Château de la Marronnière!

From your accommodation, you'll have easy access to all the region's must-see attractions. Our charming guesthouse is an excellent base for exploring the Vendée. Seaside, hiking trails through nature, towns and villages full of character… You're close to everything!
Welcoming guest rooms
At Château de la Marronnière, we offer three elegant bedrooms and a spacious suite, equipped with everything you need for your comfort. You can leave your luggage from 5 pm onwards upon arrival and must vacate it by 11 am when you depart. Upon request, a baby cot and/or an extra bed can be added to any of our accommodations.
Spaces to share
In the lounge, which is accessible to you at any time during your stay, you will find armchairs and sofas for you to settle in and relax. Pleasant and convivial moments await you in our quiet guesthouse, in front of the fireplace, at the piano, or around the games table.
A gourmet breakfast
Between 8:00 and 10:00 AM, you will enjoy a varied and delicious breakfast served at the dining room table. You will sample products from the estate, such as homemade cakes and jams, eggs from the henhouse, and fruit from the orchard. Other items will complete your breakfast: hot drinks, fruit juices, bread, pastries, and Vendée brioche.
Hosts who were available and attentive
Throughout your stay, you can contact your hosts, François-Xavier and Marie-Hélène. They are available to answer your questions and provide helpful tourist advice in French or English. They can also book a restaurant or tour for you.
High-quality services
Château de la Marronnière has an outdoor parking next to the house, as well as a bike storage. We can lend you bikes to get around. A cycle path leading to Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie is just 100 meters away.
Free and unlimited fiber optic Wi-Fi is available. We do not accept pets in our charming guest rooms.
